About Skelaxin
Skelaxin relaxes certain muscles and relieves pain caused by muscle injuries, sprains, and strains. Anyone who leads an active life can be stricken with back pain and sprains and strains are frequent among those who exercise regularly or are involved in active sports.

How to use Skelaxin
Skelaxin may be taken with food or immediately after meals to prevent stomach upset. Do not increase your dose, take it more frequently or take it for a longer period of time than prescribed by your doctor.
Skelaxin Side Effects
May cause stomach upset, heartburn, constipation, headache, dizziness or drowsiness the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop: persistent stomach pain, skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate, yellowing of eyes or skin. May discolor urine. This will disappear when the medication is stopped. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Skelaxin Contraindications
Skelaxin is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to the drug. Skelaxin should not be administered to patients with a known tendency to drug induced, hemolytic, or other anemias. It is contraindicated in patients with significantly impaired renal or hepatic function.
